India’s Jinxed Education Stocks


According to a recent report by Morgan Stanley, of the total funds invested by private equity players, 60% was in the education sector. Companies like Byju’s, Springboard, upGrad, and GrayQuest accounted for the bulk of the $305 Million funding raised by private companies.

However, the stock markets that traditionally evaluate companies on more conservative parameters like profitability and earnings growth have given companies in this sector a thumbs down.
