Reported by VC Circle, ride sharing start-up Uber has been hatching plans to introduce ride sharing on vans and buses in India with Kolkata as the test city for the service. As per the publication, Uber has tied up with Force Motors to provide for the 13-seater Trax Cruiser.
Force reported sales of 2,797 units in February, 2017 against 2,761 units during the same time last year resulting in a growth of 1.3%. UV, SUV & Tractors sales stood at 1,093 units against 1,217 units and SCV & LCV sales stood at 1,704 units against 1,544 units.
Avg. realization stood at Rs. 5.82 lakh per unit against Rs. 5.85 lakh per unit during the same time last year.
YTD sales stood at 28,567 units against 28,591 units resulting in a flat growth.
Note: Sales numbers presented here are manufacturer reported sales numbers i.e. factory dispatches to dealerships. They are NOT retail sales figures to end customers.
