Showcasing the Kaptur – powered by a 1.6-litre engine and paired either with a five-speed manual or a CVT gearbox, Renault has it up for an India launch in 2017. Kaptur is likely to be positioned as a go-between the popular small SUV and the more premium soft-roader segments, with a direct rival being the Mahindra XUV500.

Renault also launched the AMT version of KWID in the top-end RXT (O) variant which costs an additional Rs. 30,000/- than the 1 MT litre version or INR 4.25 Lakh (ex-Delhi).
With Renault planning a new variant of KWID every year, customers needn’t wait for years but only months to see something new on the Kwid.
Its current dealer count for the month of November stood at 285 with the company opening new dealerships at Bavla, Gujarat; Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh; Chandrapur, Goa; Chomu, Gujarat; Hathras, Uttar Pradesh; Jharsuguda, Odisha; Kalol, Gujarat; Kolkata South, West Bengal; Lucknow (2), Uttar Pradesh; Modasa, Gujarat; Narasaraopet, Andhra Pradesh; Patan, Gujarat; Verna, Goa; and Viramgam, Gujarat.
Faced with slowdown in demand due to the demonetization issue, officials at Renault and Nissan have confirmed suspended the third shift temporarily. While not divulging specific details, the suspension has been termed as maintenance work as only the night shift has been suspended.

To ease customer purchases, Renault announced cashless transaction platforms. Customers can now pay the booking amount via PayTM and HDFC PayZapp e-wallets. This is in addition to the already running campaign of cash back offer for booking amount paid through PayTM for KWID.
This is not the end. Renault has also extended cashless options like cheques & demand drafts, ewallets, debit or credit cards and NEFT  / RTGS  / IMPS (Immediate Payment Service) transactions for all Aftersales services.
