We have compiled a list of those stocks which have seen massive increases in the “deliverable quantity to traded quantity %”.
Stocks are traded every day and most stocks see intraday trading (buy and sell on the same day). Intraday trades don’t result in delivery – if two people buy and sell from each other and square off within the day, there will be volume, but no actual shares will change hands.
Delivery volumes as a percentage of total volume shows us how much of the stock is traded versus held for more than a day. It’s not very useful to use this data to trade per se.
But what is useful is if the delivery percentage JUMPS. If a stock is thinly delivered (say 30% delivery) and jumps up to 80% delivery then we are likely to be seeing some action in that stock because either a big buyer is in or a big seller is.

A trade, with a minimum quantity of 5,00,000 shares or minimum value of Rs.5 crore executed through a single transaction on this separate window of the stock exchange will constitute a Block Deal. Background: The Company produces customized yarns using various fibers, numerous blends and numerous effects based on the requirements. It has a capacity of 37,856 spindles, with 33,224 spindles producing fancy yarns with specialization in manufacturing slub yarns, multi count and multi twist yarns, siro yarns and neppy yarns. They also produce yarns using Polyester, Polyester variants, Viscose, Modal, Excel and Flax as raw materials.
Bulk Deal: Motiwala Rohit Arvindbhai today sold 54,700 shares or 1.20% at an average price of Rs. 242.48/- thereby valuing the deal at Rs. 133 lakhs.
Background: Orchid’s main products are active pharmaceutical ingredients, including cephalosporins (oral and injectable), carbapenems and penicillin. The other main production is domestic formulations for cardio, anti-diabetic, neuropsychiatry, and critical care applications. It has three research campuses, three formulations manufacturing sites, and two API manufacturing sites in India. It also has one API manufacturing site in China.
Bulk Deal: Manish Kumar Jain (HUF) purchased 742,566 shares or 0.87% at an average price of Rs. 59.21/- thereby valuing the deal at Rs. 440 lakhs.
News: Operations of the Company’s Bulk Drugs Plant located at Alathur, Tamil Nadu have been disrupted from December 02, 2015, due to flooding at the factory premises caused by heavy rains in Chennai.
The Company have now recommenced the operations in a phased manner. However, the Sterile Manufacturing Section would need to be verified for Sterility and this would take a few more days for becoming fully operational. (Read More)
