Macronomics: FIIs Sell The Most Debt Since Jan, Are Flows Reversing?

Fund flows are important. Much of the stock markets peaking to a new high has been due to Foreign Institutional Investor (FII) inflows. This has also caused the rupee to move up substantially.

We know that FIIs have been buying massively. But in reality the net impact on the equity markets is a small Rs. 10,966 cr. (till March 19). We also know that they sold debt last year, with over Rs. 41,000 crores being sold while they bought equities.
