Onion Charts Show We Have Highest Prices in 12 years

Onion prices have gone through the roof. But how high has the roof been in the past? A visual representation of the onion wholesale prices shows us we are at nearly the highest prices since 2001. (Prices were supposedly higher in 1998 but I have no data)

Note: This was quite difficult to do with the data in a very unstructured format. And I know the viz is slow – If anyone can help with the speed that would be great!

The prices of onions have, in the past, stayed in the Rs. 10 to Rs. 20 range. But the last three months have seen it shooting up.
